Join us for an evening of Kirtan/chanting at Twine Yoga Studio, Adamstown!
Kirtan is the sacred and ancient tradition of chanting mantras in call and response style. It is a beautiful, heart-opening experience and a great way to meditate as it gives your body something to do (e.g. chant), and gives your mind something to focus on (e.g. the music and the mantra) and therefore the practice can quickly help to quiet the mind.This event is being led by Living Peace Kirtan - Greg and Ginny Clarke, Angelique Pratten and Cass Campbell.

Scoliosis and Yoga

Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's spine has a sideways curve. Mild to severe cases of scoliosis can cause a variety of pain in the sufferers and without regular monitoring and dedication to healing, the pain can get worse with age. Not only will you leave the workshop with a strong and supple spine, but you will be provided with simple and effective exercises you can use at home to continue the healing process.

Restorative Yoga – Teaching the Art of Rest

Restorative yoga is a slow and mindful practice, which usually involves the use of props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and walls, to aid the student in holding a pose for an extended period of time. Using props allows the student to feel “supported” and “safe”, and therefore, the unconscious and habitual muscle tension has a chance to be dissolved and released. This practice leads the yogi towards a more healing and recuperative experience, achieving a deep level of relaxation in body, breath and mind.
