Besides the techniques shared during a yoga class, the science of yoga has an ancient history and a rich philosophy which can aid any person in their quest for a happy, peaceful, successful and purposeful life. This course aims to expose students to the incredible depth and breadth of yoga and reminds them how every day can be an opportunity to practice yoga “off the mat”.
This workshop will include:
- Ancient and modern history of yoga
- Exploration of the philosophy of yoga based upon the enlightening Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
- Delve into the Yamas and Niyamas, the practical and ethical guidelines to use in daily life.
