The techniques of Yoga are neither gender specific nor age specific. They are, however, accessible to all who avail themselves of them. Yoga for Men will look at a range of the Yogic techniques including Yoga postures, Yogic breathing and Yogic flavoured Meditations.
The four-week course will offer a solid grounding in the postures Yoga, with a specific focus on the postures that assist the male physique. The breathing component will give the practitioner a range of techniques to lift their energy levels and calm their nervous system. The meditations will be simple and powerful, brimming with ways to solve and dissolve the challenges of the modern masculine lifestyle.
Postures: designed to increase strength, restore and cultivate mobility, and deepen the connection between the mind and the body.
Breathing: specifically tailored to reduce stress and anxiety whilst reinvigorating the body and releasing unhelpful habits.
Meditations: created to regain control of a distracted and unruly mind whilst giving the practitioner methods to overcome heaviness of mind.
This course will be led by Greg Clarke (author, yoga and meditation teacher, kinesiologist, father) and Tim Hamilton (GP, yoga teacher, wine connoisseur, silver smith, grandfather) who are both dedicated practitioners of yoga and life, and will lead this course with a delightful mix of humour and wisdom.
